Understanding of human life is to understand human development. This course provides students with the characteristics, principles, and theories of brain development, cognition and language, sociality and emotion, physical and exercise development from the fetal period to toddler. Students will discuss the suitable environment and teacher's role for infant and toddler.

The goal of this course helps students understand the concepts of child care and education. This course covers various child care and education areas such as historical overview, philosophical backgrounds, the basic theories of early childhood education and teaching methodologies for young children as well as the contents related to kindergartens and child care centers.

Traditional Korean music is a living art culture, imbued with the feelings and emotions of the Korean people. Through this class we will come to know how to enjoy and love Korea’s most traditional instruments and music. As well as understand the necessity of Korean music education. Also in order to one day be able to teach children, we will learn the fundamental theory of tradition music in Korea. As well as cultivate a basic competence in performing with traditional Korean musical instruments.

The major in Buddhistic child care and education provides the students with various work opportunities associated with child care education areas and child studies as well as adolescent counseling and guidance. This course examines student's job survey based on student's aptitude and the ways to lead to success in her career.

Students will be able to apply these ecological educational programs to their classroom settings, and thread their approach with Buddhist teaching.

This course explores different kinds of educational materials and methods and various ways to implement these in the preschool/kindergarten classroom settings. By learning various educational materials and methods and by practicing instructional methods with the materials, students will have an opportunity to enhance their ability to pedagogically implement various educational materials and methods in classroom settings and achieve effective teaching competency.
