Eligibility and Requirements

This is to inform you about the specific curriculum and qualifications for application offered the foreign students
Curriculum Admission Classification Eligibility and Requirements
Common Nationality
  • The applicant and applicant’s parents are of non-Korean nationality
  • The applicant must have completed (or is expected to complete) regular domestic secondary education from a foreign country.
Standard Language ability (Graduate Program)
  • TOPIK level 4 or higher (Under-graduate, Graduate)
  • English proficiency test (Only graduate school is allowed)
    • TOEFL(PBT 530, CBT 197, IBT 71) more than
    • IELTS 5.5 (more than)
    • CEFR B2 (more than)
    • TEPS 600 (more than)
    • Nationally recognized English proficiency test or higher with the above score
    • Exceptions are made for applicants who are native speakers.
Korean Language Course (Undergraduate Program) Freshman
  • Those who are graduate (scheduled) from regular high school in both inside and outside of Korea
  • Who has achieved Korean Language Proficiency Test (TOPIK) level 3 or higher and aims to enter Dongguk University's degree course
Under-Graduate Course (Graduate Program) Freshman 1st Year Who is scheduled to (graduate) from regular high school in both inside and outside of Korea
Transfer 2nd Year Who has completed at least 1st year (scheduled) at a regular university in Korea and abroad (4-year graduate system)
3rd Year
  • A person who has graduated (scheduled) from a regular university (2. 3 years) in Korea and abroad
  • A person who have completed 2nd year or more (scheduled) at regular domestic and foreign universities (four-year graduate system)
Graduate Course (Graduate Program) Freshman
  • Applicants must hold, or expect to hold in prior to entering DGU, a 4 year bachelor’s degree or its equivalent higher degree(master’s degree) from an accredited college or university
  • A person who has completed the entire course corresponding to a domestic curriculum in a foreign country and hold, or expect to hold bachelor's (master's) degree
